Following the announcement by HM Revenue and Customs that from April 2013 employers will be legally required to report PAYE in real time, social enterprise DD Payroll Services will be working with small businesses across the country to make the payroll transformation as smooth as possible.
Supporting small businesses and independent employers since 2004, the social enterprise, whose profits feed into charity Disability Direct, is already running the Real Time Information (RTI) procedures and processes and so is in an excellent position to support small businesses through this time of major payroll change.
In addition, DD Payroll are also offering their service half price until March 2013 resulting in small businesses only having to pay £54 for four payrolls for up to six employees, as they put in place the changes ahead of the Government’s deadline.
The compulsory introduction of RTI will require employers and pension providers to inform HM Revenue & Customs about tax, National Insurance contributions and other deductions when or before the payments are made, instead of the current system of waiting until after the end of the tax year. The system will remove the need for end of year payroll returns, simplify employees starting and leaving procedures and make PAYE more accurate for individual employees.
Gill Marshall, Payroll Manager at DD Payroll Services, said “As we move towards the final quarter of the financial year we are delighted to be able to ease the stress of payroll for small businesses throughout the country by offering to take the pressure of Real Time Information off their hands at a minimal cost, so they can concentrate on being great at what they do. On top of that, we can continue to use our profits to improve the lives of disabled people, making it a win-win situation.”
DD Payroll is part of the Disability Syndicate, a group of social enterprises whose profits feed into Disability Direct, a charity who have been facilitated independent living opportunities for disabled people since 1993 through the provision of information, advice and advocacy.
